Home Renovations

SO - my home has kind of resembled a meth lab since June.  I couldn't find any free stock photos of a meth lab, so you're going to have to use your imagination.  Think - plastic walls with zippers and go from there.
Anywho, at times it's felt like this

That's NOT my home, by the way.  But, it's been difficult to remain organized an on task while living in disarray while our home is being renovated.  I know for myself it's been especially hard to balance work (I work from home), family (my family lives here), and "home" work (work that needs to be done on the home) all during one day.  If it were up to me I'd just power through and get all of the "home" work that needs to be done, done.  But, that's not how it works, nor should it.  I'm not giving up what brings in an income or time with my family in order to paint walls.

And, I've been painting a lot of walls.  Coming into this house we knew that we'd be renovating it and came to an agreement that it would only get done when we had the time and had the money.  I'm not going to squeeze in time at the expense of the important stuff, you know?  Plus, this isn't the first home I've lived in while renovating.  For most of my high school years I had black visqueen as walls and a shop light hanging from a nail in the ceiling of my bedroom.  I know the many ways to utilize a 5 gallon bucket for all of your home cleaning and personal cleaning needs (including waste management).  Seriously, what I'm dealing with now is a walk in the park and it's fine.
I am really looking forward to actually utilizing my office, though.  I'm hoping so by February 2018.
It's all a work in progress.
