Hey Let's Grow

*I am participating in the Monsanto Hey Let's Grow program as a blogger this year.  Materials in this post were provided by Monsanto.  This is a sponsored post.  The opinions in this post are my own.*

I'm wrapping up my Hey Let's Grow series this month.  This is the second to the last post that you'll see this year regarding my participation in the program.

I wanted to take a moment to reflect on my year as a gardener and food provided - it was abysmal.  And, I realize that it totally was not my fault.  I spent time in Texas in May, June, and July taking care of my father who had terminal colon cancer and passed away in July.  Those are some peek growing times in my area.  I couldn't even get my garden in the ground prior to leaving.  Why?  my laziness killed my plants.  *shaking head*

I was so disappointed with what happened this spring and summer that I didn't even attempt to salvage the growing season by planting anything that could be harvested in fall.  I just kind of gave my garden a side-eyed look and walked past it and all of the weeds that had taken it over.

So, I'm looking to next year.  Next year I WILL HAVE A GARDEN!
