CBD - Use for Anxiety

The use of CBD is just another one of those rungs on my Healthy Living Ladder that I have found exceptionally helpful for me.  That's the key, it works for me.  I don't know if it'll work for you.  But, I'll give you the information that I have and you can make that decision.

Cannabidiol: Nature’s Medicine for Anxiety

If you even remotely know anything about marijuana, you have probably heard of tetrahydrocannabinol (THC) — the main compound of the plant. Although it has a number of medicinal benefits, it’s still controversial among many patients because of its psychoactive properties.

But THC is not what cannabis is all about. In fact, there is another major cannabinoid that changes the whole perspective of cannabis. Cannabidiol, also known as CBD, is a compound produced primarily in male cannabis plants and is used in medicine for treating a number of symptoms and conditions.

However, CBD has been very efficient especially in relieving one thing — anxiety. As it turns out, according to research and medical professionals, cannabidiol has proved to reduce symptoms of general and social anxiety, PTSD, and panic attacks.

This anxiolytic property comes from the brain’s receptors response to serotonin as a result of CBD consumption.

This cannabis compound can be extracted from the plant, produced into powder, and mixed into the creams and gels. Also, patients can use it as topicals, edibles, and capsules. But, the most common way of consuming CBD (especially for anxiety) is in the form of an oil.

By taking the right dose, patients can feel the physical symptoms of anxiety fade away almost immediately.

However, before taking CBD for your anxiety, please check in with your doctor first, who will recommend the right dosage for you.
