Diffuser {Use & Care}

Statements made in this blog post have not been evaluated by the Food and Drug Administration.
This post is not intended to treat, diagnose, or cure disease.

Congratulations!  You have purchased your Young Living™ Premium Starter Kit and ARE using the oils (unlike what I did when I first got my kit).  With your PSK you received a diffuser.  This is the one that I picked:

To be honest, I picked this one because I dislike roses, and that is what the other one looks like.  You do have the option to upgrade to different diffusers, and there are some really pretty ones available, but I needed to keep this purchase within a certain budget.

Usage
There is a max fill indicator inside of your diffuser.  I choose to fill my diffuser with bottled water as I live in an area with hard water.  Once you have filled your diffuser with water add the essential oils of your choice, place on a hard & flat surface (away from open windows and not in a room with a fan running), place the splatter guard and top back on the diffuser and then plug in the power cord into the diffuser and then into the outlet.  With the specific diffuser pictured above there is a button (shown) that you press once for light plus mist or twice for just mist.  This one does automatically shut off when it is out of water.
Each diffuser is different, be sure to read the manual which came with your diffuser prior to operating.

Cleaning
I clean my diffusers once a month.  To do this I unplug the diffuser from its power source and then move it into my kitchen (brightly lit and larger work area).  I make sure to dump out any excess water that may be in the base of the diffuser.  I take a clean, dry paper towel and wipe out the inside and outside of the splatter guard and the top of the diffuser.  Then, I take another clean, dry paper towel and dampen it with rubbing alcohol and wipe out the inside of the water reservoir in the base of the diffuser, making sure to clean every nook and cranny of that sucker.  I then let everything air dry for about an hour prior to using again.

CBD {Legality}

There are many rungs on my Healthy Living Ladder - MANY RUNGS.

The use of CBD is just another one of those rungs on my Healthy Living Ladder that I have found exceptionally helpful for me.  That's the key, it works for me.  I don't know if it'll work for you.  But, I'll give you the information that I have and you can make that decision.

To find out what CBD is, click over to this post

To see how I choose to use CBD, click over to this post

Ok, I wanted to share a little bit about the legality of CBD as there may be some mis-information out there about it.  I am not a lawyer, I don't play one on TV, I don't pretend to be one.  BUT, there is tons of great information out there regarding the legal use of CBD extracted from industrial hemp.   Key words here - CBD and INDUSTRIAL HEMP.

CBD, extracted from industrial hemp is completely legal in all 50 states.  You can order it online or may be able to find it in a health food store.

Here are some cool facts from Leafly regarding the industrial hemp derived CBD:
  • Agricultural hemp and medical marijuana both come from the Cannabis Sativa L. plant.
  • Agricultural hemp, which is often referred to as “hemp stalk,” grows differently than THC-containing cannabis, and looks similar to bamboo.
  • THC-producing marijuana plants are grown to an average of five feet in height, spaced six to eight feet apart. Agricultural hemp is grown to a height of 10 to 15 feet or more before harvest, placed three to six inches apart.
  • Hemp has little potential to produce high-content THC when pollinated.
  • As long as agricultural hemp plants are pollinated by members of their own crop, the genetics will remain similar with low levels of THC.
  • There is a strong legal argument that production and distribution of CBD oils/products derived from imported raw material industrial hemp is not a violation of the Controlled Substances Act (CSA); in fact, one Colorado law firm has published a written opinion making the case.

Imagine this for one moment - pain relief without feeling "high" or "out of it".  OR pain relief from something that is not going to harm you or tax your organs.  OR pain relief without side effects.

One of my major concerns post chemo treatment was the use of over the counter pain medication (NSAIDs) and how that would cause even more strain on my liver.  I have exposed myself to enough toxins, thank you very much, I'd like to start moving away from that.  And, I view utilizing CBD as a safe method in doing so as I travel this Healthy Living Ladder of mine.

Do you use CBD?  If so, how and why?  I'd love to hear about your journey.
I use Hemp Life Today products.

Anti-Inflammatory Recipe of the Week

In September of 2015 I started Dr. Weil's Anti-Inflammatory Diet after being diagnosed with Stage 4 Endometriosis.  I share a new recipe each week to help those who may need to modify their eating habits to better their health.
Food is medicine - You are what you eat

You can find out more about the Anti-Inflammatory Diet by going here

The very first time I EVER ate a brussels sprout was when I made this salad.  And I'm 40.  The only time that I was ever around brussels sprouts  was during Easter, and they were cooked (boiled), and they stunk, ... and I never ate them.  One of the things that I have learned over the past year is how to properly prepare food so that they are nutritious, appealing to the eye, and taste good.  So now, brussels spouts don't scare me.

The reason why I love this recipe from Gimme Some Oven is because, for me, it's a meal.  It's a complete meal at that.  And, it's so, so good! I can bring this as a side to a family dinner and know that I have something that is safe for me to eat.  That's a WIN

You can find the recipe here.  Enjoy!

DIY Recipe of the Week {Chemical Free Home}

What's in your cabinets?

Why am I passionate about getting the yuck out of my home?  Because I don't want to be in constant pain because my Endo is flaring up.  I know, it's pretty selfish, but it's the catalyst for change in my home.  For me, essential oils are another rug on my Healthy Living Ladder.  It's something that I'm choosing to do to help my family.
You can read more about that here

Did you know that 26 seconds after exposure that chemicals are found in measurable amounts in the human body?

Did you know that the National Institute of Occupational Safety and Health studied 2,983 ingredients in our products at home—and found 884 toxic ingredients?

DIY Glass & Mirror Cleaner

  • 1 cap full of Thieves® Household Cleaner
  • 5 drops of Citrus Fresh™ Essential Oil Blend
  • 1 teaspoon of white vinegar
  • 3 cups of water

I added the cap full of Thieves® Household Cleaner to a spray bottle.  Then I used a quart size mason jar and added the 3 cups of water, 1 teaspoon of white vinegar and 5 drops of Citrus Fresh™ to it.

Remember, oil and water DO NOT MIX.  I put the lid on the mason jar ans shook it to incorporate the oil into the mixture.  I then poured the contents of the mason jar into the spray bottle that already had the Thieves® Household Cleaner in it.  I secured the spray nozzle on top and shook that a little to mix all of the liquids together.

Now I'm able to clean my mirrors and windows without the use of dangerous or synthetic ingredients.

Oil Focus - Lemon Vitality™

Statements made in this blog post have not been evaluated by the Food and Drug Administration.
This post is not intended to treat, diagnose, or cure disease.

Congratulations!  You have purchased your Young Living™ Premium Starter Kit and ARE using the oils (unlike what I did when I first got my kit).

Each week I'm going to focus on a different oil which is included in the Young Living™ Premium Starter Kit to help educate you on the many different uses of this oil.

First, why Young Living™?  I choose to use Young Living™ essential oils because of the purity of the oils.  You can find out more about that by checking out there Seed to Seal® process here

Two weeks ago I shared information about the "Swiss army knife" of essential oils, Lavender!  You can read all about Lavender Essential Oil here.

Last week I shared information about Peppermint Vitality™, you can read more about it here.

This week I am moving on to another Vitality™ oil in the Young Living™ Premium Starter Kit - Lemon Vitality™.  Lemon Essential Oil is often referred to as the "Duct tape" of essential oils.  It can fix a lot of sticky situations.

Lemon Vitality™

Let's review what it means to be a Vitality™ oil  -  What is the difference between this white labeled Lemon Vitality™ oil and Lemon Essential Oil?

Nothing.  Both contain Citrus limon.

To maintain compliance with the FDA you cannot label an essential oil (which is considered a supplement) ok for both internal and external use.  So, the label on the Lemon Vitality™ Essential Oil complies with the FDA's regulations for internal use, and the label on the Lemon Essential Oil complies with the FDA's regulations for external use.  Both bottles contain the exact same essential oil (Citrus limon).

Lemon Vitality™ Essential Oil - Citrus limon (peel oil)
  • Add two drops to a glass of water to support metabolism
  • Sticker or label residue?  Get the gummy left overs off
  • Improve your mood by diffusing Lemon Essential Oil
  • Nourish your skin and leave it feeling soft and supple by adding a few drops to your toner (I like to use alcohol free witch hazel)
  • Shine up your tarnished silver using a few drop on a cloth

DIY Recipe - Strawberry Lemonade

*your 5ml bottle of Lemon Vitality™ Essential Oil will contain approximately 80 drops of essential oils.

How I'm Enjoying Life While On The Anti-Inflammatory Diet {Gluten Free Allergen Friendly Expo} {Sponsored}

I am attending GFAF Expo as a Blogger. I was offered this giveaway for my blog.  All opinions are mine.

You can read my 2016 post here

So, it's been 17 months since I changed the foods that I consume so that they don't contribute to inflammation in my body.  Which, in turn, causes constant pain and swelling that effects my ability to do simple things, like walk.

There are some days that are easier than others.  I have to own up to that. Some days, oh man, I just really want a cheeseburger.  But, I know that it's gong to hurt.  Like, physically hurt me and cause me pain if I consume it.  So, I don't and I know that there are better options for me out there.  I still subscribe to the belief that food is meant to nourish and sustain.

I continue to abstain from all forms of gluten, dairy, red meat and caffeine.  I sill do not choose to eat processed foods of any kind.  I do eat whole soy (tofu) sparingly, but the use of soy sauce and soy additives are avoided.

I'm still on a quest to find ways to become better informed about food choices as I walk this path, though.  There is so much information out there!

I learned a lot at last years Gluten Free & Allergen Friendly Expo.  I attended the classes that they offered, talked to the exhibitors and sponsors who were on site, and gathered tons of great information and samples to try out, not only for me, but also my family.

I'm excited about attending the Gluten Free & Allergen Friendly Expo again this year.  I get to surround myself with other like-minded individuals, learn about possible food options that may be out there for me to try, to get as much valuable information as possible so that I can make informed food buying decision.

The Gluten Free & Allergen Friendly Expo "is dedicated to meeting the needs of the celiac community, those with gluten and food sensitivities, auto-immune/inflammatory diseases, and autism. The public is helped through vendor expositions, educational sessions, and online resources. The manufacturers are serviced through vendor expositions, marketing programs, and consultative services."

If you are interested in attending the Gluten Free & Allergen Friendly Expo on either April 22 or 23, I have 2 ticket codes to give away at this time.  Here is how this is going to work:

I am giving away 2 (TWO), one day ticket codes to one lucky winner so that you can attend the Gluten Free & Allergen Friendly Expo at the Schaumburg Convention Center on EITHER APRIL 22 or 23, 2017.  You will have the opportunity to attend classes, and visit with exhibitors and sponsors of the event to see how they support the gluten free and allergen free lifestyle.

For your chance to win TWO, one day passes (you get to choose which day)

          1) Comment below on how attending the conference would help you
          2) Deadline for submissions is THURSDAY, April 6th by 11:59pm
          3) One winner will be selected and notified on FRIDAY, APRIL 7th

I'm A Dish Soap Snob

I am totally a dish soap snob.

I do not own a dish washer, never have, likely never will.  Because, I am the dish washer.  More times than not, I view it as a meditative act, not a chore.  I know, I'm weird.

I guarantee that there is a bottle of Dawn on the ledge of that sink!

Anyway, for years I used Dawn.  YEARS.  My mom even used Dawn, so I've been exposed to it for over 40 year.

But, with my new found quest to rid my home of chemicals I had to find a better option.  And, DIY'ing my dish soap was last on my list of options.  Because, why DIY when there are perfectly acceptable options available for purchase.  In this case I say, SAVE YOUR TIME!

I tried the Thieves®Young Living™ dish soap, and though it cut through grease and cleaned my dishes really well, it lacked suds.  This is a big deal for me because I'm a visual and tactile person.  I knew that it was working, I could see it and I could feel it.  I just didn't see the suds.  *sad trombone*

Unfortunately, this is a no-go for me.  This may be a suitable option for you, though.  And, if so I am doing a happy jig for you.  I had to look further, and this was very hard for me to do as I LOVE all things Thieves®.  {OMG it smells SO GOOD}

So, I sought out to find a dish soap that was eco friendly that produced suds.  My first stop was the Environmental Working Group.  They have a Guide to Healthy Cleaning and when you search your cleaning products it'll give you a rating based on the "A"-"F" grading system.

"The ratings reflect potential health hazards but do not account for the level of exposure or individual susceptibility, factors which determine actual health risks, if any." (EWG)

I needed something that I could pick up at the store while I still did research, because my kitchen sink was getting full with dishes.  I settled, and I truly mean settled, on Seventh Generation dish soap, which gets a "C" by the EWG.  A "C" is not a good grade!  But, it was better than Dawn.

And, the more research that I did led me down the rabbit hole to Dr. Bronner's.  Sweet peas people! Have you heard of them?  Am I late to the game for just finding out about them?
I chose to get their Sal Sud's Liquid Cleaner instead of their Castile Soap because SUDS!  AND, it gets an "A" from the EWG.  I mean, come on now!

I ordered my first 32oz. bottle online as I truly did not feel like traipsing all over the place looking for it in health food/natural food/vitamin shop stores because I don't normally shop at those stores.  But let me tell you - they carry the 32oz. bottle at my local Vitamin Shoppe.  So, score!  And, this stuff is AMAZING.

Look at those suds! And that's with 1/4 teaspoon of liquid detergent.

Not only can I use it for my dishes, but I've used it as laundry detergent while I wait for my Young Living™ order to come in the mail (one of these days I'll have a back up supply of the Thieves® Laundry Detergent...one day).  I'm in heaven, people, look at all of the other options that are possible with this stuff.

Plus, I can add my favorite Thieves® Essential Oil to the soap and ta-da, I have a lovely smelling dish soap that produces suds and cleans really well.  Oh, I may add Stress Away® for the ultimate meditative experience while doing the dishes.  Oh, the possibilities here. Like Citrus Fresh®?  I have to stop or this will just be a post full of essential oils, but you get the idea if you want to enhance your dish washing experience.

I encourage you to take a moment and go to the Environmental Working Group's website and check to see what your cleaning products are rated.  From there, make a decision, an active decision, to do better if any of your products have scored a "C" or lower.  There are better options out there.  Do you research and then experiment.  And, like I did, it's okay to start off slow as you are swapping the products out. If you are reading this you are likely the "gatekeeper" to your home.  You decide what crosses the threshold of your home.  You can do better for your and your family.

Hey Let's Grow

*I am participating in the Monsanto Hey Let's Grow program as a blogger this year.  Materials in this post were provided                                     by Monsanto.  This is a sponsored post.  The opinions in this post are my own.*

I have broccoli

I have peppers

I have tomatoes

I have spinach

And...a whole lot of other stuff too.  Here is my weekly update on what's been happening with my starters.

On March 18, 2017 I started the seeds for the Sweet Sunset Peppers, Wizard Bell Peppers, Tricked You Pepper, Flaming Fare Pepper, Better Boy Tomato, and Green Beret Spinach.

The Artwood Broccoli seeds are doing quite well.  You can read last weeks update here.  I have four of the five pods that I plants producing sprouts.  I do have one "volunteer" sprout popping up in the pod immediately in front of the pod I planted seeds in.  So, I'm thinking that a seed made it's way down towards the bottom of the original planting pod and came up through the other.  Either way, I have a successful five out of five plantings producing.

Additionally, I started seeds for two types of carrots, green onions, peas, kale, and brussels sprouts.

All of these lovelies will be going into our family garden, which we refer to Indian Boundary Line Homestead.  I'll be doing weekly updates here, and I hope that you follow along on my gardening journey.

Do you have a garden?  If so, how do you choose to garden (container, vertical, plot of land....)? And, what kind of vegetables/fruits do you grow?

My Why {Video}

Statements made in this blog post have not been evaluated by the Food and Drug Administration.
This post is not intended to treat, diagnose, or cure disease.

Why am I so passionate about Young Living™ Essential Oils?

I've been slowly removing items from my home which cause dis-ease to me and my family. This started in the months following my diagnosis with Stage 4 Endometriosis in September of 2015. Being a chronic, non-curable, inflammatory disease I started making changes with the food that I was consuming and bringing into my home for my family. I knew, that in spite of the chemotherapy treatment that I underwent post surgery, that I needed to return to my roots and how I was raised if I was going to be successful at living the rest of my life with Endometriosis and not be in constant pain. I chose to turn to healing herbs, teas and tinctures to heal my body in conjunction with adopting a mostly fish eating vegetarian lifestyle while undergoing treatment and I swear, even with as bad as my side effects were, I believe that they would have been worse had I not done those things.

This was all fine and good, but with the additional research that I did regarding what contributes to Endometriosis, I felt that I needed to switch out the cleaning supplies in my home. I appreciated what ease a chemical spray so strong that I needed to vent the bathroom windows in frigid temperatures just so I wouldn't pass out while cleaning could accomplish at eradicating the soap scum and hard water on my bathtub. The thing is - I'd like to safely breath and not cough, have my nose run with snot, my eyes water and have my hands flake from the toxic chemical exposure. I don't know why I got use to thinking this was ok. For me, for my family.

Did you know that the National Institute of Occupational Safety and Health studied 2,983 ingredients in our products at home—and found 884 toxic ingredients?

Don't know much about oils? Totally ok. That's why this space exists.

Why am I passionate about getting the yuck out of my home? Because I don't want to be in constant pain because my Endo is flaring up. I know, it's pretty selfish, but it's the catalyst for change in my home. For me, essential oils are another rug on my "Healthy Living Ladder". It's something that I'm choosing to do to help my family.

Did you know that 26 seconds after exposure that chemicals are found in measurable amounts in the human body?

Educational Anarchy Oils Facebook Page is a little space that I created to help educate, inform, and empower you to make changes in your home to contribute to a happier and healthier environment by using Young Living Essential Oils.

Sit back, relax, and enjoy yourself as we travel this oily road together. It's just another rung on my "Healthy Living Ladder" that assists me to achieve a more holistic lifestyle. I hope it'll help you do the same!

External, Internal, Environmental {Aromatherapy}

So, you have gotten your Young Living Premium Starter Kit.  You are looking at all of the oils in your kit.  Some have white labels (indicating that they are from the Vitality™ line).
So...now what?

Well, there are three ways which you can use your oils

Topical
Oral
Inhalation

Or, rather, external, internal, and environmental.

Here are a few ideas on how to use them -

Topical

  • Add a few drops of oils to a warm bath.  Because oil and water do not mix, you'll want to add the essential oil to epsom salt and then add that to your bath water.  This will help the oil to disperse in the water.
  • Add a few drops of oil to your lotion or moisturizer prior to applying to your skin.
Oral
  • Many oils (think oregano, peppermint, cinnamon) can be used when baking/cooking.  Remember, these are concentrated oils, one drop does a lot.
  • This can also be done with your drinks (think tea, filtered water, sparkling water).  Remember, oil and water do not mix.  You'll need something for the oil to "stick" to.  I like raw honey, and only a very little.
Inhalation
  • Diffuse.  Again, one drop does a lot.
  • Put a drop of oil in the palm of your hand, rub them together, and inhale.

I choose to use an integrative approach when utilizing my essential oils.  Here is a quick snapshot to show how I use my oils on any given day.

Topical

  • I put a drop of Frankincense oil in my lotion prior to applying it to my face and neck for a radiant look

Oral

  • I put one drop of Copaiba Vitality™ oil on a spoon lightly coated with raw honey and then stir it into warm water and drink to help relax

Inhalation

  • I place a drop of Sacred Mountain™ in the palm of my hand, rub them together, and inhale for a grounding effect
I'd love to know how you use your oils.  Feel free to comment below on how you are currently using your oils and/or how you would like to start using your oils.  Interested in learning more about essential oils?  Follow along at Educational Anarchy Oils on Facebook.

CBD {How I Use It}

As I've shared many time through this blog, I have Stage 4 Endometriosis.  I also have anxiety, insomnia, and pretty bad acne (at 40 years old, I'm not a fan of acne).  I have chosen to use CBD in a few different forms to help with all of this.

For my Endometriosis - the pain that I experience follows my menstrual cycle.  I use 250mg tincture from Hemp Life Today to help with the cyclical pain.  Additionally, if I am feeling inflamed (back, knee, stomach) I use the CBD salve from Hemp Life Today to help with the inflammation.

For my anxiety - (I don't lead a stressful life, I'm just a stressful person) - well, there are a couple of different ways I choose to use CBD when I find my anxiety peaking.  For long distance or air travel, I choose to use a trans-dermal patch from Mary's Nutritionals. I also use this when I'm going into a high stress situation as well.  For short distance travel and elevated stress situations I choose to use CBD gum from Canchew  in addition to the 250mg tincture from Hemp Life Today.

For my insomnia - I think that this is one of the side effects from my Lupron treatment for Endometriosis that is just kind of sticking around.  I truly am not a big fan of it - AT.ALL.  I use the 250mg tincture from Hemp Life Today, it helps me to sleep by shutting off my racing thoughts.

For my acne - it truly isn't as bad as it use to be, but following my menstrual cycle I get hormonal acne in very specific and targeted areas on my face.  I use the CBD salve from Hemp Life Today to help clear it up.

How does CBD help me?  I'm not in pain.  I am not anxious.  I am calm.  I don't feel agitated.  I can get a restful nights sleep.

CBD from industrial hemp plants is 100% legal in the United States.  You can find it in health food stores and on-line.

Do you use CBD?  If so, why and how have you found it helpful?

Oh! Cloud Bread - YOU ARE AMAZING!

I could eat an entire batch of this myself.  Probably not a good thing, BUT it attests to the yummy factor of this recipe for sure.

This specific recipe is lactose free and grain free, and comes from Food By Mars.

It is so, so good.  You can season it however you wish.  I like garlic powder and basil.  YUM!

DIY Recipe of the Week {Chemical Free Home}

What's in your cabinets?

DIY Carpet Refresher

  • 1 cup Baking Soda
  • 1 cup Borax
  • 20 drops Thieves® Essential Oil
  • 10 drops Lemon Essential Oil
  • 10 drops Lavender Essential Oil
You are going to want to measure the dry ingredients out and place them in an oversize bowl.  Stir to incorporate.  Next, add your essential oils.  Again, stir to incorporate the oils into the dry powder. I then scoop the mixture into a shaker container (mine is a sugar shaker with one hole *it's what I had on hand*).  Whatever extra mixture I have left I store in a mason jar for later use.  I use this carpet refresher once a month on my carpets.  After I sprinkle the powder over the carpet I let it sit for about 20 minutes and then vacuum it up.

Why It Works
Baking Soda is cheap, safe for pets and humans, and easy to use.  (You can buy a big box of it in the laundry section of your store).  How does baking soda deodorize?  Sodium bicarbonate is amphoteric. This means that it can react both with strong acids and with strong bases which are typically smelly compounds (sour milk, rotten fish, fatty acids in sweat).

Borax contains sodium tetraborate, which is an all natural mineral found in lake beds.  It's been around FOREVER, like since 8 A.D. It is an awesome deodorizer.  And, because it's a crumblier powder than baking soda it will sit differently on your carpets when you sprinkle it. This is why I feel it's important to use both baking soda and borax.

Essential Oils will add a lovely aroma to the powder.  I love Thieves® by Young Living. Purification® is also a good oil to use if you have a more powerful smell that you are trying to rid your carpets of.  But, definitely use whatever you find most appealing.

You can find out more about that by checking out there Seed to Seal® process here.

I started my Artwork brand of Sibsey Hybrid Broccoli Seeds on Sunday, March 4, 2017 using the Jiffy Professional Greenhouse.  I have a video up on my Facebook page here, if you want to watch that.  I planted five pods with two seeds each.  So far I have three pods with sprouts, one of those pods has two sprouts.

Four days later, I had this

Thieves Household Cleaner® {Chemical Free Home}

What's in your cabinets?

Did you know that 26 seconds after exposure that chemicals are found in measurable amounts in the human body?

Did you know that the National Institute of Occupational Safety and Health studied 2,983 ingredients in our products at home—and found 884 toxic ingredients?

Why am I passionate about getting the yuck out of my home?  Because I don't want to be in constant pain because my Endo is flaring up.  I know, it's pretty selfish, but it's the catalyst for change in my home.  For me, essential oils are another rug on my Healthy Living Ladder.  It's something that I'm choosing to do to help my family.

Young Living's Thieves Household Cleaner®

MY WORD

I would bath in this stuff, that's how much I love the smell of it.

I use it as a general purpose cleaner by following the dilution instructions on the back of the bottle to make my own spray cleaner.  I use it on all of the hard surfaces in my home, daily.  I use it as a spot cleaner on my carpets and fabric covered furniture, as needed.  I find things to clean with it because I love the smell THAT MUCH.  Oh, and it works amazingly well.

Here's a how I make my own spray cleaner using Young Living's Thieves Household Cleaner®

First, purchase a spray bottle.  I get mine from the local dollar store.  My bottle holds a little over four cups of liquid, just an FYI.

Next, I add four cups of water to my dollar store spray bottle.

Then I add two caps of the Thieves Household Cleaner® to the water

Here are the dilution ratios that I use, which can be found on the back of the bottle

I like mine just a little stronger.  You can dilute yours to your needs.  And, because I clean on a daily basis using this product, this spray bottle will last me roughly one month.  One bottle of the Thieves Household Cleaner® will last me just a little over a month because I also make glass cleaner from it, mop my floors with it, and add it to my natural powder cleaner to make a paste to deep clean my toilets, showers, and tubs.  It's so versatile!  I've even used it in a carpet cleaner to clean my carpets and scrub the grim out of the grout on my floors. I love a lot of things about this product - the smell, the cleaning power, the versatility....but, what I love the most about this product is that I don't need to vent the rooms that I am cleaning when using it and I don't get headaches from using it.
