Celebrating St. Nicholas Day in Chicago

St. Nicholas Day is December 6th.  We choose to celebrate this holiday purely from a cultural view point, not religious based.  Though St. Nicholas of Myra is definitely a Catholic religious figure who you can read more about here, in our home the roots of our celebration come from our family ties to Germany and Netherlands.   Here are some things that we will be doing to celebrate this holiday:
